What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed in the folder of your browser. When you visit a website, this type of cookie on your device will send some information to your browser. Cookies are very common and used on many websites as they are very useful for their publishers. For example, they allow the website operator to determine whether a computer (and probably its user) has visited it before.

In general, cookies are used to improve the performance of the website and make it more attractive to you, although they may also be used for advertising purposes (as explained below). A more detailed explanation of what cookies are and how they work can be found on All About Cookies and Wikipedia.

Own and external cookies
Internal cookies (OldTown Shop cookies) will be placed on your device by the OldTown Shop via the web shop. Our OldTown Shop can send cookies in several ways and for a variety of purposes, which include:

- simplifying the use of the OldTown Shop online shop,
- monitoring, analysing and improving the operation and efficiency of the OldTown Shop online store,
- sending advertisements adjusted to your interests and needs.

External cookies (third party cookies) are placed on your device by third parties independently of OldTown Shop . As far as external cookies are concerned, OldTown Shop 's role is limited to allowing third parties to place the file. It is third parties who use the information provided by external cookies. Temporary and persistent cookies

A typical example of a temporary cookie is the cookie placed by OldTown Shop on your device when you log into the web shop. Without a temporary storage cookie, log-in data, our online shop would not be able to "remember" your log-in when you go to other subpages of the shop.
Persistent cookies, as the name suggests, are persistent and persist when you close your browser. This allows for faster and often more convenient access to our online shop.
Control of our use of cookies

Our intention is to make our use of cookies and other technologies as transparent as possible. As indicated above, we are not able to offer all the functionalities of the webshop without our own OldTown Shop cookies.
